Therapy isn’t a step backward—it’s a strategic move to protect what you’ve built.

Meet therapist Jennifer Kupferman, JD, MA, LMSW | Serving lawyers, executives, and professionals in New York, NY

A black espresso cup with a matching saucer on top of a magazine titled 'The Kinfolk'. A potted variegated green and white plant is beside the cup. The scene is minimalistic and cozy.

Working harder won’t solve what’s happening internally.

The same traits that helped you succeed—hypervigilance, overworking, or perfectionism—can also be the ones pushing your nervous system into overdrive.

This isn’t just mental, though. It’s physiological. When your body stays stuck in stress response, it doesn’t matter how much insight you gain, how much effort you put into ignoring the past, or how many coping strategies you try—your system is still running on high alert. And it’s not something a corporate wellness day or an overdue vacation will fix.

To actually reset, your whole body needs to be part of the process.

ABOUT ME

Before entering the therapy world, I spent years working in and around Big Law. I know what it means to perform under pressure, manage constant urgency, and build a career that rewards perfectionism while punishing any kind of “pause.” I also know what it’s like when your personal well-being starts to erode beneath the surface of all that success.

If you’re always running on adrenaline, your clarity and performance suffer. Smart professionals need smart strategies.

Today, I help executives, lawyers, and those in high-demand careers address the stress, anxiety, and burnout that are often byproducts of achievement. My work combines clinical depth, empathy, and cultural understanding with a special focus on helping individuals regulate their nervous systems, heal trauma, and reclaim a sense of inner steadiness.

HOW I WORK

My approach is integrative: combining traditional talk therapy with somatic (body-based) and neuroscience-based methods to create lasting, embodied change. Clients often come to me after hitting a plateau in their life or in therapy—when they’re doing all they can to solve their problems and change patterns, but nothing seems to shift.

Together, we work not just on why you're feeling overwhelmed, reactive, or exhausted—but how to address those patterns from the inside out.

Expect an experience that is:

  • Rooted in both compassion and expertise

  • Flexible enough to meet you where you are—mentally, emotionally, and logistically

  • Uniquely tailored to high-performing, busy professionals
